McNeill Goes Deep as Cats Take Home Opener

Lexington – Baseball is back at Cliff Hagan Stadium. After 6 road games to start the season Kentucky finally got to play in front of the home fans for the first time this season and they didn’t disappoint.

First basemen Gunnar Mcneill drove in two runs including his second home run of the season as Kentucky rallied in the bottom of the eighth to beat Austin Peay Wednesday.
This marks the 17th consecutive home opening victory for the Cats.

The Wildcats host a 3 game home stand this Friday as they welcome Buffalo to town. First pitch is scheduled for 4pm
