UK BASEBALL | Bats Cats Gearing Up for Matchup Versus Cards, Following Weekend Games Against Alabama

The University of Kentucky Bat Cats were down in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to face the Crimson Tide over the weekend. The Cats lost 4-2 on both Friday and Saturday to go 0-2 in the series.
But the Cats who are ranked 9th in the nation, rallied on Easter Sunday for a 5-2 win over the Tide.

For the second-straight weekend, Justin Lewis came through with a clutch outing on the mound to help the Cats secure the win.

Kentucky improves to (19-9, 3-6) in the league.

UK baseball head coach Nick Mingione shared that he’s proud of his team’s play so far this season.

Kentucky hosts Louisville at Cliff Hagan Stadium on Tuesday and first pitch time has been moved to 4 p.m. ET, due to expected bad weather in the Lexington area.

Junior Kole Cottam shared with the media that he knows the significance of Tuesday’s rivalry matchup.

Kentucky had a 1-3 record against Louisville last season.
