UK BASEBALL | Knocks off Top Ranked Florida

Evan White went 3-for-3 including a home run, as the Kentucky Wildcats knocked off Number One Florida 7-4, evening their best of 3 series at a win a piece.

The Cats got to Gators starter A.J. Puk early, knocking him around for six runs on four hits and a pair of walks in just 4 1/3 innings. Meanwhile UK Righty Dustin Beggs was the beneficiary of good run support, as the Cats scored seven times for the Senior. Justin Lewis came on in relief in the 6th inning, and shut down Florida, pitching 3 1/3 scoreless innings for his fourth save.

The vctory improves Kentucky’s record to 16-6 overall, 3-2 in the SEC, while Florida, which had its 17 game winning streak snapped, drops to 23-2, 4-1 in the conference.
