Kevin Knox was named the SEC’s Co-Freshman of the Year, sharing the honors with Alabama’s Collin Sexton. Knox was also picked for the All-SEC First Team and the All-Freshman Team. The Tampa native averaged 15.7 points per game, which led the Wildcats. He was also second on the team in rebounds per game with 5.3.

Joining Knox on the All-Freshman team is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who was selected to All-SEC Second Team. Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 13 per game for the Cats and led the team in steals, assists, free throw percentage and minutes per game. He is also only the 13th freshman in UK history to top the 100 assists mark.

Tennessee’s Grant Williams was SEC Player of the YEar and his coach, Rick Barnes, was named SEC Coach of the Year.
