Two Players Dimissed From UK Football Team

01/09/2013 11:25 AM

UK announced today that a pair of cornerbacks, Marcus Caffey and Jonathan Reed, have been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules.

Caffey, rated among the top 40 running backs in the country coming out of high school, was expected to be UK’s top defensive back last season before becoming academically inelgible.

Reed did not see action as a freshman after arriving at UK as a three-star prospect out of Indianapolis.

Also, according to Kyle Tucker of the Louisville Courier-Journal, UK head coach Mark Stoops is still gathering the facts related to the arrest of freshman offensive lineman T.J. Jones in South Carolina this week. No discipline has been handed out yet.
