Twany Beckham To Have Back Surgery

UK senior guard Twany Beckham will have surgery on his back this morning, with the hopes that he’ll still be able to play in the postseason.

The Louisville native, who spent his first two seasons at Mississippi State, has played only 17 minutes this season because of the nagging injury and logged only 61 in his two-year UK career. After spending the offseason working out with Rajon Rondo, Beckham hoped to find a spot in UK’s rotation by using defense as his calling card.

On the season, he has 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and a block.
