The UK and UofL men’s basketball teams are taking turns playing their own personal game called…blowing out the opposition. On Sunday, the top ranked Cats destroyed Montana State by 58 points, 86-28. Then on Monday, the 5th ranked Cardinals (6th in AP Poll), did UK three points better by smashing Savannah State by 61 points, 87-26. Tuesday night Kentucky had a slump, relatively speaking, by “only” defeating Texas-Arlington by 48, 92-44.
Devin Booker led all scorers with 19 points, one of six Wildcats in double figures. Karl-Anthony Towns had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. With the win, Big Blue improves to 6-0 while the Mavericks fall to 3-2. Kentucky’s next game is Sunday hosting Providence with a tip off time of 2pm ET.
