The Team USA U19 basketball team bounced back on Sunday, wrapping up its play in the FIBA U19 World Cup in dominating fashion.

After falling to Canada on Saturday, John Calipari’s squad earned the bronze medal Sunday, taking care of Spain 96-72 in the third place game.

Cal’s team got out to an early lead, taking a 25-8 lead over Spain after the first quarter. From there, Team USA cruised.

Kentucky guard Hamidou Diallo led the Wildcat players in scoring on Sunday with his nine-point performance. Diallo also had four rebounds and two assists.

Meanwhile, UK’s P.J. Washington contributed six points.

UK recruiting target and New Albany (IN) High School basketball star Romeo Langford had eight points for the Americans.

The Americans’ shooting on Sunday was also on point. They went 12-of-19 (63.2%) from behind-the-arc.

Team USA finished the tournament with an overall record of 7-1.
