Should Boom Williams go pro at the end of the season?

12/12/2016 08:30 PM

Boom Williams, like everyone else on Kentucky’s football team, is focused on Kentucky’s bowl game against Georgia Tech on December 31st.

But, over the weekend he was asked about his thoughts on going pro. The junior running back is eligible to enter the NFL draft for the first time and has shown his abilities during his three seasons at Kentucky. Williams has rushed for 2,413 career rushing yards, which ranks seventh on the UK career rushing list. He’s done that while averaging nearly seven yards per carry.

When asked about whether or not he’s considering the NFL, Williams said, “Conversations and things have started. That’s something that I have to think about as well and like I said, right now my main focus is the bowl game. After the bowl game, me and my family will talk some more and we’ll handle that situation.

Should Boom go pro? KSTV weighs in.
