SEC commissioner takes stand against satellite football camps

Penn State head coach James Franklin introduced the college football world to “satellite camps” when he began hosting the school’s football camps across the country, in the hopes of getting more touch with prospects nationwide. Other schools have adopted the policy, though the Southeastern Conference has stood against it.
During his appearance at SEC Media Days, commissioner Greg Sankey said the conference will continue to oppose them and vowed to fight diligently for the practice to end.
