Ryan Timmons committed to Kentucky this afternoon. He chose UK over Ohio State, Florida, and Illinois. The Franklin County wide receiver is a great addition to Mark Stoops’s first recruiting class and will have an early impact on the field in Neal Brown’s air raid offense.

Timmons is listed as a four-star wide receiver, but he has expressed interest in playing running back at the college level. Rivals ranks Timmons as a top five receiver in Kentucky and the 68th best receiver in the nation. According to ESPN, Timmons rushed for 1225 yards and caught 29 passes for 965 yards during his senior season at Franklin Co. High School. Timmons caught 15 touchdown passes and ran in another 25 TDs. Over his career, Timmons averaged 22.6 yards per touch and had 106 career touchdowns, according to his high school coach Chris Tracy.
