Ryan Harrow Leaving Kentucky

03/31/2013 11:24 AM

UK point guard Ryan Harrow is transferring to Georgia State, according to Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports. The sophomore will apply for a hardship waiver from the NCAA in hopes of becoming eligible. The request will be based on Harrow’s desire to be closer to his ailing father, who suffered a stroke just before the 2012-13 season started.

In an interview with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Harrow said of the decision to leave Kentucky, “I got better there. I built some relationships there. I know next year we would have been really good. It was just real important for me to be with my dad. With him being sick like this, I needed to be there with him.”
