Reports: FSU Offensive Coordinator Also Headed To UK

New UK head coach Mark Stoops hasn’t even been officially introduced in Lexington yet and he’s already putting together what could be an impressive staff. Reports today by FootballScoop.com and CaneInsider.com indicate that Florida State offensive coordinator James Coley will accept the same role at UK and could be on campus as early as Sunday.
To say this is a huge development for the UK football program would be an understatement. Coley, Florida State’s offensive coordinator since 2010, has led a group that’s averaged better than 30 points per game in each season. This year, the Seminoles are putting up 41.5 points per contest. In addition, Coley is regarded as one of the nation’s top recruiters and was recently named the best in the ACC by ESPN. Before arriving at FSU, Coley spent one year as the offensive coordinator at Florida International and six years under Nick Saban, both at LSU and with the Miami Dolphins.
Should this news turn out to be true, the next name to keep an eye on is Dameyune Craig, currently Florida State’s quarterback’s coach and recruiting coordinator. He, along with Coley, have been the driving forces behind FSU’s top-ten recruiting classes. He also began his caoching career with the Miami Dolphins while Coley was on staff.
