Platoon-less Cats fail to impress vs Columbia

12/11/2014 06:00 PM

Due to Tyler Ulis missing his second game in a row and Devin Booker missing his first — both due to minor injuries — John Calipari had to stray from his much-publicized platoon system that has been so effective for his team this season.

KSTV’s Mark Krebs and Bradley McKee discuss the differences in the team when in full platoon and when their running the traditional substitution patterns we saw last night against Columbia.

About Mark Krebs

Mark Krebs graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and was a three-year letterman in basketball. He proved himself to three different coaches (Smith, Gillispie, and Calipari) in his four years with the Cats and eventually earned a scholarship after three years of being a walk-on. Mark is currently splitting time between his book tour for Beyond a Dream and starring as part-time co-host on KSTV.
