PJ Washington dominates as Team USA beats Mali 117-69

Team USA improved to 4-0 as they beat Mali 117-69 on Wednesday morning.

The Americans were led by Kentucky freshman PJ Washington, who put together another dominant performance. Washington scored a team-high 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists. This is his second straight 20-point game and second straight game leading the team in scoring.

Hamidou Diallo also had a strong showing, scoring 14 points and grabbing six boards. Washington and Diallo have been two of the best players for John Calipari’s USA team thus far.

The Americans now advance to the quarterfinals, where they will play the winner of Germany vs. New Zealand (Tai Wynyard) on Friday.
