Peach Jam 2016 Preview: Who to watch for

The 2016 Peach Jam, which highlights the nation’s top high school recruits in the country, tips off tonight at 5:30. KSTV is in North Augusta, South Carolina until Friday to keep you updated on potential future Wildcats and how they fare in one of the nation’s top AAU events. UK has offered 14 players in the Class of 2017 and they are all in action this week. They are….

  • Trae Young: Five-star point guard from Norman, Oklahoma. Young is playing for Mokan Elite and also has offers from Oklahoma, Kansas and Oklahoma State among others. He is the 26th ranked player in the class of 2017 and the fifth ranked point guard, according to Scout.com
  • Tremont Waters: Four-star point guard from South Kent, Connecticut. Waters is playing for Expressions Elite and also has offers from Kansas, Pitt and Indiana. Scout.com ranks Waters as the 41st overall prospect in the class of 2017, the 10th best point guard.
  • Quade Green: Five-star point guard from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Green recently picked up an offer from UK and will play for the PSA Cardinals this week. Green also has offers from Arizona, Duke, Kansas and Louisville among others. He currently leads the EYBL circuit in assists (10.5) and steals (2.9) per game. He is the 20th best player in the class of 2017 and the third best point guard, according to Scout.com.
  • Hamidou Diallo: Five-star shooting guard from Putnam, Connecticut. Diallo plays for The Rens and also has offers from Duke, Kansas, UCONN and Indiana among others. He is the ninth ranked player overall in the class of 2017 and the top ranked shooting guard, according to Scout.com.
  • Gary Trent Jr. : Five-star shooting guard from Apple Valley, Minnesota. Trent plays for Howard Pulley and is also showcasing offers from Duke, Kansas, Michigan State and Ohio State among others. He is the thirteenth ranked player in the class of 2017 and the second ranked shooting guard, according to Scout.com
  • John Petty: Four-start shooting guard from Huntsville, Alabama. Petty plays for Team Penny and also has offers from Alabama, Auburn and Georgia among others. Petty is the 28th overall player in the class of 2017 and the fourth best shooting guard, according to Scout.com.
  • Lonnie Walker: Five-star small forward from Reading, Pennsylvania. Walker plays for Team Final and also has offers from Villanova, Arizona, UCONN and Indiana among others. He is the 24th ranked player in the class of 2017 and the sixth best small forward, according to Scout.com.
  • Kevin Knox: Five-star small forward from Tampa, Florida. Knox plays for E1T1. He has offers from Duke, Florida, Florida State and Maryland among others. Knox is the sixth ranked player in the class and the second best small forward, according to Scout.com.
  • PJ Washington: Five-star power forward from Henderson, Nevada. Washington plays for Team Penny and also has offers from Arizona, Cal, Florida and Michigan State among others. He is the 14th ranked player in the class of 2017 and is the top ranked power forward, according to Scout.com.
  • Jarred Vanderbilt: Five-star power forward from Houston, Texas. Vanderbilt plays for Houston Hoops and also has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor and Kansas among others. He is the 15th ranked player in the class of 2017 and the second ranked power forward, according to Scout.com.
  • DeAndre Ayton: Five-star center from Phoenix, Arizona. Ayton plays for California Supreme and also has offers from Kansas, Arizona, Arizona State and Duke among others. He is the top ranked player in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com.
  • Mohamed Bamba: Five-star center from Westtown, Pennsylvania. Bamba plays for the PSA Cardinals and has offers from UCONN, Duke, Indiana and Kansas among others. He is the second ranked player in the class of 2017 and the second ranked center, according to Scout.com.
  • Wendell Carter: Five-star center from Atlanta, Georgia. Carter plays for Team CP3 and also has offers from Duke, Georgia and Georgia Tech among others. He is the third ranked player in the class of 2017 and the third ranked center, according to Scout.com.
  • Nick Richards: Four-star center from Elizabeth, New Jersey. Richards plays for Expressions Elite and also has offers from Arizona, Creighton, Indiana and Kansas among others. He is the 31st ranked player in the class of 2017 and the eighth ranked center, according to Nick Richards.
