Once thought to be a lock, DeMarcus Cousins could be cut from Team USA

19 NBA players are competing for 12 Team USA roster spots for the upcoming World Cup. Among those trying to make the cut are former Cats Anthony Davis, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins. Davis is seen as a lock for the team’s center position, Wall is battling a handful of other guys for limited spots, and Cousins was thought to have an upper-hand as a second true big.

Cousin’s seemingly safe bet is now a huge question mark after news surfaced that Coach K and Team USA might prefer taking former Duke Blue Devil and current Brooklyn Net, Mason Plumlee, instead.
