RECRUITING TRAIL — The No. 1 center in the country for 2016 has narrowed his list down to seven, and the University of Kentucky made the cut.
Five-star prospect Marques Bolden told Scout.com on Monday that he has cut his list of schools down to Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Wake Forest.

The 6-9, 230-pound center will take the first official visit of his recruitment to Kentucky on Wednesday, September 2nd. He hasn’t scheduled any other visits but has already taken unofficial trips to Alabama and Wake Forest.
Bolden proved to be an efficient low post scorer during the summer Nike EYBL circuit, averaging 13.7 points per game while shooting 57% from the field.
Kentucky currently has two commitments for the 2016 class: four-star power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones (No. 29 in Scout.com’s Top-100) and four-star New Zealand center Tai Wynyard, who plans to join UK’s roster midway through the upcoming 2015-16 season.
