NBA Draft Update: Spurs interested in Tyler Ulis

Draft week is officially underway as players are finishing their preparations for Thursday’s festivities. Jamal Murray and Skal Labissiere are two of 14 players to be invited to this year’s draft. This is a much smaller list than year’s past, due to uncertainty that comes with this draft. ESPN’s Chad Ford released his latest mock draft over the weekend and has Murray going sixth to the New Orleans Pelicans and Skal going 11th to the Orlando Magic.

John Rothstein of CBS Sports reported that the San Antonio Spurs are taking a good look at Tyler Ulis with their 29th pick. Ulis is now projected a second-round pick by Chad Ford following recent rumors of hip injury. Ulis is completing his last workout with the Philadelphia 76ers, who hold the top overall pick, as well as the 24th and 26th picks.
