THE LEAGUE — When it comes to producing NBA talent, nobody compares to the University of Kentucky, and the Wildcats will have more players on opening-day rosters than any other school this season.

1. Kentucky (21)
2. Kansas (19)
3. Duke (18)
4. North Carolina (15)
5. UCLA (14)
6. Arizona (13)
7. Florida (10)
8. Syracuse (8)
9. Texas (8)
10. Washington (8)

Kentucky tops the list with 21 former players currently suiting up in the NBA, 18 of whom played for current UK head coach John Calipari.

Kansas ranks second with 19 players, and Duke comes in third with 18.

This past summer, Kentucky tied its own NBA record (2012) with six players picked in the draft, four of whom were selected in the lottery. In 2010, Kentucky also became the first school to produce five first-round picks in a single draft.

The 2015-16 NBA season tips off tonight, including a rematch of last year’s Western Conference first-round playoff matchup between Anthony Davis’ New Orleans Pelicans and the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
