Michael Kidd-Gilchrist returns to Kentucky, his "second home"

SOMERSET — Despite spending only one season playing at the University of Kentucky, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist still refers to the Commonwealth as his “second home.”

The former Wildcat and No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft (Charlotte Hornets) was in Somerset on Friday, helping out at the BBN Legends Basketball Camp.

Kidd-Gilchrist took a short break from teaching the youngsters to speak with KSTV about his return to the Commonwealth, how proud he was of the historic 2014-15 UK basketball team, and advice for the seven Wildcats who’ve entered next week’s 2015 NBA Draft.
