Mark Stoops Frustrated By Lack Of Toughness, Limited Quarterbacks

Mark Stoops did little to hide his frustration today at his weekly pregame press conference. He was particularly upset over a perceived lack of toughness from some of his players. Now, Stoops made the important distinction between players who are injured and not medically cleared to play and those who are just banged up two-thirds of the way through the season. The ones who are just banged up are the players he wants to see more from. Watch below for Stoops’s comment and hear what Thomas Beisner and Mark Krebs had to say on the matter.
Like last year, the quarterbacks have been inconsistent and lacking depth. Now, it sounds like freshman quarterback Reese Phillips may have a shot at the back-up position.
