The University of Kentucky has announced expansion plans for its Center for Academic and Tutorial Services, which will include funding through sales of commemorative Maker’s Mark bottles that feature UK Athletics.

The first-of-its-kind program will open this summer on the south side of campus. Maker’s Mark and Keeneland have partnered with UK Athletics to fund the plan. A goal has been set to raise $2 million for the center through their own contributions and from the proceeds of sales of special commemorative Maker’s Mark bottles. The first in the five-bottle series was released last spring and featured legendary coach Adolph Rupp. The second in the series will go on sale Friday, August 8 and will feature Joe B. Hall and the Kentucky team that won the school’s fifth national championship in 1978.

Four members of that team, Jack Givens, James Lee, Kyle Macy, and Rick Robey, will be at Keeneland on Friday, April 15 to sign already-purchased bottles. The event begins at 7:30 a.m.
