Looking back at UK's win over Monmouth

12/11/2017 05:18 PM

The UK basketball team took the floor away from Rupp Arena for only the second time this season when they took on Monmouth Saturday at Rupp Arena.

The seventh-ranked Cats came out strong early and took a 54 to 31 lead at the half, thanks in large part to freshman PJ Washington, who scored 16 points in the first 20 minutes….and though the Cats would get outscored in the second half, it was a mostly positive outing in New york. Hamidou Diallo scored a career-high 23 points. PJ Washington’s 20 points were also a career-high and Shai Gilgeous-Alexnader’s 15 points were his career high as well.

After the game, John Calipari was mostly pleased with what he saw from his team.
