Kyle Wiltjer: "I Am Not Transferring"

03/31/2013 10:22 PM

With Ryan Harrow announcing earlier today that he’d be leaving Lexington for Atlanta and Georgia State University, questions began surrounding the status of sophomore Kyle Wiltjer, who had also been rumored to transfer. Wiltjer slammed that door shut late Sunday night though when he sent out three Tweets that said the following:

“I just want everyone to know that I AM NOT TRANSFERRING. The thought never crossed my mind. I love Coach Cal and the staff, UK, and the BBN. After talking with the coaching staff what I need to do. I want to be a part of another chip. This summer, I’m going to work hard to come back next season better and stronger to help my team fight for #9!”

Wiltjer averaged 10.2 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 42% (37% from three) on the year.
