For the first time in school history, the Kentucky women’s track and field team is ranked the best women’s track and field team in the country.
The ranking was released this week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Coaches Association. The rankings advanced the Wildcats up one spot from No. 2 after a strong weekend win at the LSU Invitational. During the meet, the Cats turned in six performances that are now ranked Top-5 nationally.
Kentucky will host the Kentucky Relays on Saturday before the SEC Championships May 12-14.
