03/14/2013 09:01 PM
Kentucky will face Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network or ESPN3. Vanderbilt beat Arkansas 75-72.
Vanderbilt looked to put the game away when the Commodores built a 12 point lead with only seven minutes left in the game, but Arkansas came roaring back to cut Vanderbilt’s lead to two with 30 seconds left on the clock. The Razorbacks outscored the Commodores 42 to 37 in the second half to keep the game close, but BJ Young missed a pair of free throws that would have kept Arkansas within one possession with 13 seconds left in the game.
Rod Odom led Vanderbilt scoring 20 points, including five three-pointers. Odom also grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots for the Commodores. Kyle Fuller came off the bench for Vanderbilt and scored 19 points. Vanderbilt shot 43 percent from behind the arc, making 12 three-pointers.
