Kentucky stays undefeated, dominates Arizona State 115-69

The top ranked Kentucky Wildcats remain unbeaten on the season, after blasting Arizona State 115-69. 115 points is the most points for a Kentucky team in the John Calipari era. The Wildcats also recorded 33 assists, which is the most under John Calipari.
De’Aaron Fox recorded only the second triple-double in program history with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The only other one was Chris Mills on December 27, 1988.
The Wildcats got off to a hot start, scoring 26 points in the first eight minutes of the game, led by Bam Adebayo and Isaiah Briscoe. Bam and Briscoe both had seven points by the 12 minute mark. Kentucky continued their domination, taking a 58-30 lead at the half.
De’Aaron Fox was well on his way to his triple-double. He had 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the first half alone. Bam Adebayo also contributed nine points and five boards. Kentucky’s 58 points was the most points scored in a first half in the John Calipari era.
The domination continued in the second half. Kentucky opened the second half with 12 straight points. Arizona State didn’t score until the 15 minute mark. The Wildcats cruised the rest of the half, holding the Sun Devils to only 34% shooting from the floor.
Six Cats scored in double figures, led by Malik Monk’s 23 points. Isaiah Briscoe contributed 20 points, De’Aaron Fox had 14 points, Bam Adebayo had 12 points, Wenyen Gabriel had 10 points and Derek Willis had 11 points.
The Wildcats shot 53% from the floor and out-rebounded Arizona State 59-33.
