Kentucky Puts Away Auburn, 75-53

The UK basketball team seemed to put away some of the uncertainty surrounding it after three inconsistent games in SEC play, running away from Auburn 75-53 Saturday night.

The Cats received a boost from sophomore Kyle Wiltjer, starting in place of the injured Willie Cauley-Stein, who did not make the trip. Wiltjer finished with a team-high 17 points and added four rebounds and five assists. Freshman Nerlens Noel, the team’s most consistent player this season, again filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 blocks – despite battling foul trouble in the first half. Archie Goodwin, Alex Poythress and Ryan Harrow all added 12 points.
