Kentucky Players Ready for Revenge Against Southern Miss
08/26/2017 12:00 PM

Next Saturday’s season opener against Southern Miss is Kentucky’s chance at revenge. The Cats blew a 35-10 first half lead in the season opener against Southern Miss last season. The Golden Eagles scored 34 unanswered points to come away with a 44-35 victory, stunning the Big Blue Nation and getting Mark Stoops’ fourth year off to a rough start.
For junior cornerback Derrick Baity, revenge is on his mind.
“Last season just got me chomping at the bit,” said Baity. “I want revenge, plain and simple. We lost to them. We gave them the game and it’s just time for get back.”
How big is the “revenge factor” the Cats as they get ready for next weekend? Bradley McKee and Clayton Abernathy discuss.
