John Calipari said this week that his team had undergone a “reboot” to change their bad habits after dropping three of their last four games. Despite walking out of Rupp Arena with a win over LSU, it looks like the reboot isn’t quite done.
Despite taking control early with a 14-4 start, Kentucky never quite put away an LSU team that hasn’t looked like much of anything throughout the season. Even after pushing the lead to 25 points and holding a 15 point lead with 2 minutes left, the Tigers closed the gap to a final of seven points. Kentucky’s defensive struggles continued as they allowed LSU to shoot 62% from the field in the second half.
Wenyen Gabriel and Malik Monk led the way for Kentucky with 23 points.
We’ll have more on KSTV Wednesday.
