Kentucky football player arraigned on drug charges

A Kentucky football player has been arrested and arraigned on drug charges.

According to Lexington Police, Marcus Walker now faces several charges in connection with possession of marijuana and cocaine. The drugs were found inside Walker’s home by an officer on Wednesday night after responding to a disturbance call.

A police citation indicates the responding officer found 5 lb. of marijuana, an ounce of cocaine and a large amount of cash.

Walker, a redshirt junior safety, saw action in 12 of 13 games last season, totaling five tackles. Spectrum News contacted the football program for comment and was told officials are “aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more information.”
