LEXINGTON — Besides having the most money name of any player in the Commonwealth, Paintsville linebacker Kash Daniel also owns some of the hottest trending stock in the Southeast.
Two weeks ago, the three-star prospect was just an average Eastern Kentucky boy who held collegiate offers from a few small schools — the likes of Austin Peay, Ball State, and Troy.
But all that quickly changed after a breakout performance at the Rivals Camp in Charlotte on April 12.
Daniel finished the event ranked as the sixth best defensive performer, and major offers soon followed, starting with Kentucky on April 27.
Louisville, Purdue, and South Carolina followed suit, with heavyweights Florida and Alabama also expressing interest.
As the competition continues to heat up, what are the odds UK’s offer holds firm?
Recruiting guru Justin Rowland of Rivals.com joined KSTV to discuss Daniel’s recruitment along with the other prospects Kentucky’s targeted in recent weeks.
