Kentucky’s second trip to New York this season ended with another big win, as the Wildcats beat Hofstra 96-73.

Hofstra (6-5) kept the game close most of the first half. The Pride came within three points (36-33) with three minutes left, before Kentucky’s offense exploded to end the half on a 12-0 run.

Kentucky would open the second half scoring six straight points as they cruised the rest of the way. Malik Monk led all scorers with 20 points, going 4-10 from the three-point line. Isaiah Briscoe had a very efficient night, scoring 19 points on 8-11 shooting. The sixth ranked Wildcats 51.4% from the field and held Hofstra to only 33.8% shooting.

Kentucky’s rebounding struggles continued, as Hofstra outrebounded Kentucky 45-41. Derek Willis led the Wildcats with eight rebounds in the contest.

Kentucky’s next opponent will be No. 7 North Carolina on Saturday at 5:45 pm. The game will take place in Las Vegas and is part of the Champions Classic.
