Kentucky brought the energy against Valparaiso

Kentucky bounced back from their loss to UCLA in dominant fashion against Valparaiso on Wednesday night. The Cats played with high energy and used a balanced scoring attack (six players scoring at least nine points) to beat the Crusaders 87-63.

John Calipari praised his team for their energy after the game.

“That energy is how we have to come out every day, and it’s hard. But you know what? It is what it is and you’re here,” said Calipari. “We’re playing everybody’s best shot, we got to disrupt, we got to be the aggressor, we got to attack the basket, we got to make the extra pass and we got to make easy plays.”

The energy was apparent as the Wildcats smothered Valparaiso on defense, forcing them to shoot 34% from the field and commit 19 turnovers.

TJ Beisner and Lachlan McLean discussed what they took away from last night’s win.
