“I thought it was a different world.”

That’s how sophomore linebacker Kash Daniel felt when he first arrived to Kentucky in the spring of 2016. Coming from a small high school in Paintsville, Kentucky, Daniel’s eyes were opened to the level of play in the SEC.

Now, with a year of experience under his belt, Daniel enters his sophomore season ready to make a bigger impact on the field than he did last season. Daniel has some advice for the freshmen still adjusting to level of football at Kentucky.

“Some of them are afraid to mess up,” said Daniel. “I tell them, don’t be afraid to mess up. People are going to mess up. You’ve got seniors that have been here for five years and are still messing up. If you mess up, go 100 miles an hour.”
