Josh Pastner discusses his relationship with Coach Calipari

03/22/2017 05:56 PM

John Calipari returns to Memphis this weekend. He spent nine seasons as the head coach at the University of Memphis from 2000-2009. Calipari compiled over 250 wins with the Tigers and helped put the program on the national stage.

When Calipari left to take the Kentucky job, Memphis stayed in-house to hire its next basketball coach, Josh Pastner. Pastner was an assistant under Calipari in his last season. He would go on to spend seven seasons as head coach of the Tigers before making the jump to Georgia Tech last year. In his first season with the Yellow Jackets, Pastner has his team in the final four of the NIT.

Pastner joined KSTV to discuss his relationship with Calipari and how he helped him become a better coach.
