Kentucky freshman outside linebacker Josh Paschal has been named SEC special teams player of the week, the league announced Monday.

Paschal blocked a punt late in the game that helped Kentucky secure a 24-20 over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. The block went for an 18-yard loss and set Benny Snell up to score a touchdown that put the Wildcats ahead 24-14 with less than 12 minutes left in the game.

Paschal also shared a sack with Josh Allen and recorded a quarterback hurry.
