John Calipari on the Cats' Win Over North Carolina

Kentucky holds on to its Number 1 spot thanks to a 73-72 win over number 5 North Carolina on Saturday. Anthony Davis’ block of a John Henson jumper in the closing seconds preserved the win for the Cats, who also extended its home-court winning streak to 39 games. That final play even made coach Calipari a bit nervous.
The Tarheels led by as many as nine-points in the first half and held a six-point lead in the second before Kentucky rallied. That’s when Doron Lamb converted a three-point play as part of a 7-0 run that gave Kentucky a 63-60 lead.
Cal also commented on his team’s toughness during the game. For weeks, Calipari had been complaining that his team wasn’t aggressive enough on the court.
Kentucky returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Bloomington, for the annual border rivalry game with Indiana. That game can be seen live on ESPN.
