Jason Hatcher arrested on drug charges, released from football program

UK Athletics announced on Monday that UK football player Jason Hatcher has been released from the football program following his arrest early Monday morning.

Hatcher was taken into custody in Franklin County and is now facing drug charges. The rising senior was pulled over for speeding and charged with trafficking (8oz <5 pounds), tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $20,270.

Hatcher was previously arrested with UofL wide receiver James Quick, a high school teammate, in 2014 for marijuana possession. Those charges were dismissed.
