2017 five-star power forward Jarred Vanderbilt just announced his commitment to Kentucky.

The Houston, Texas native is a five-star recruit on all major recruiting services. Scout.com has the 6’7”, 205-pound Vanderbilt as the No. 2 power forward and No. 15 player in the class.

When asked to describe his game by Scout.com , Vanderbilt said, “I have a very versatile game. I can play multiple positions, one through five, and can defend multiple positions.”

He went on to say his game resembles Lebron James’ because of his ability to be a point-forward and play multiple positions.

Vanderbilt chose Kentucky over UNC, TCU and Oregon among others. He becomes the fifth commitment of the 2017 class for John Calipari joining guards Quade Green and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and big men Nick Richards and PJ Washington.
