James Young returns to Lexington for Coach Cal's ProCamp

One of UK’s latest “succeed and proceed” players, James Young, was back in town today as part of coach John Calipari’s ProCamp in Lexington.

The 6-foot-7 lefty was selected number 17 overall by the Boston Celtics in June’s NBA Draft, but that was the last time we saw him. Unlike most rookies, Young didn’t participate in the NBA Summer League because he was recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident.

While meeting with the media, Young talked about the wreck, his health and how it’s affected him to this point.

Even though he missed some valuable reps in Summer League, Young has high aspirations for his first season in Boston. He talked about what the Celtics will be expecting from him and what he can improve during the off-season.

Of course being back in Lexington, a lot of the attention turned from Young back to his former teammates who remain at UK. He sees big things coming for the Cats in the 2014-15 season.
