James Young hopes he and Marcus Smart can turn around the Celtics

After being selected 17th by the Boston Celtics, James Young revealed that he didn’t know very much about the historic franchise but he was ready to start reading up on it.

In short, the Celtics have the most NBA Championships in league history, but their current team is not a good one. Aside from former UK point guard Rajon Rondo, the team has a collection of unproven, but high-potential talent.

Kelly Olynyk can play, and so can Jared Sullinger. But this team needs firepower, and that’s where James Young and fellow Celtics draftee Marcus Smart come into play.

Young is hoping that he and the former Oklahoma State star can help a turnaround get underway in Boston, a city where winning is expected each season.
