TORONTO — Age isn’t an issue for Kentucky-bound Jamal Murray.

The 18-year-old point guard impressed in his Pan American Games debut on Tuesday night, leading Team Canada to a 105-88 victory over the Dominican Republic.

Murray totaled 12 points on 5-7 shooting and also dished out two assists in just over 21 minutes of play in front of a home country crowd, looking poised and in complete control against a group of much older players.

The five-star recruit also displayed glimpses of the dynamic ball-handling and play-making abilities he’ll bring to Lexington next season, creating what could be the best point guard trio in the nation alongside fellow five-star recruit Isaiah Briscoe and returning sophomore Tyler Ulis.

Team Canada returns to action on Wednesday night against Argentina in their second game of the preliminary round. Coverage tips off at 6:00 p.m. ET on WatchESPN.
