It's Time To Panic: UK Falls To Georgia, 72-62

03/07/2013 08:31 PM

Thursday night’s game against Georgia may not have been a “must-win” game for Kentucky in the traditional sense, but it was certainly a “must not lose” matchup as the Cats tried to avoid falling further outside the NCAA Tournament projections. But just as they’ve done in their last three SEC road games, the Cats lost by double-digits, this time 72-62 to Georgia.

For UK, it was another game marked by inconsistency as senior Julius Mays, who carried the team and seemed to emerge as a leader during the team’s recent three-game winning streak, again failed to make an impact. Mays finished with 0 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 38 minutes of action.
