ESPN also ranked the quarterbacks, and to no one’s surprise, UK was ranked towards the bottom. Drew Barker is the ninth best quarterback in the SEC heading into the season, largely due in part to his inconsistent play towards the end of last season. They say he has all the tools, it’s now his turn to prove it on the field.

Ole Miss’s Chad Kelly leads off the list. Kelly led the SEC last season in passing yards and touchdowns. Three SEC East teams are ranked in front of UK—Tennessee with Josh Dobbs, who torched UK last year, Georgia, who has yet to name their starter, but is likely to name true freshman Jacob Eason, and Florida, who is likely to go with Luke Del Rio, an Oregon State Transfer.

Where will Barker rank in the SEC by the end of the season? We discussed.
