John Calipari told us last week in his one-on-one interview that he expects to have the top recruiting class in the country yet again and the Cats took a major step in that direction minutes ago with the commitment of Aaron and Andrew Harrison. The Houston twins verbally committed to UK in a press conference at their school, choosing the Cats over Maryland. They cited the winning attitude and the challenge John Calipari presented them with to make it to the NBA.
Both players check in at 6’5”, 205 pounds. Andrew, rated as Scout.com’s #2 overall prospect, is the nation’s top point guard. Aaron, Scout.com’s #3 overall prospect, is the ranked as the best shooting guard in the 2013 class.
They join Bullitt East forward Derek Willis in UK’s 2013 recruiting class.
