Four Wildcats competing in Orlando's summer league

Tomorrow is the beginning of the NBA journey for Alex Poythress. Poythress, who went undrafted, now has a chance to prove himself with the Orlando Magic in their summer league. The Orlando Summer League starts tomorrow and runs through July 8th.

Poythress isn’t the only former Wildcat vying for an NBA spot this summer. Former national champion Marquis Teague will be playing for Dallas, Dakari Johnson will play for Oklahoma City and Aaron Harrison will play for Charlotte.

Harrison is the only player on the Charlotte summer league roster with prior NBA experience and the Hornets coaching staff knows Aaron needs to lead his teammates.

Hornets associate head coach Patrick Ewing told the Charlotte Observer, “He’s going to have to showcase all the things he’s learned. Put it all together. He’ll get significant time (in Orlando), where before he was only playing here and there. We expect a lot out of him.”

We discussed the importance of the next week for these guys.
