Five-star point guard Immanuel Quickley commits to Kentucky

John Calipari has secured his first commitment in the 2018 class from five-star point guard Immanuel Quickley. The Baltimore, Maryland native picked Kentucky over Kansas and Miami.

Quickley stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 175 pounds. He is the No. 8 overall player and the No. 3 point guard in the 2018 class, according to Scout.com.

“He’s got good size for the point guard position,” says Evan Daniels of Scout.com. “I think he’s really developed his game over the last couple of years. He’s very good in pick-and-roll situations. He’s got good vision and can really pass and I think he’s a tremendous leader. He’s also really improved his ability to shoot from long range and I think he’s going to be a really good college defender. Immanuel Quickley is the full package at the point guard position and a heck of a prospect for Kentucky.”
