Fast-Paced Fridays: The key to Stoops' Success?

The Kentucky Football coaching staff altered the structure of their practice this week and have seen the results show up on the field after Saturday.

Previously, full-on practice would typically end on Thursday, Friday would be an easy walk-through, and Saturday the team would be “fresh” for the game. This season, Mark Stoops, under the influence of player performance coach Erik Korem, has restructured the practice week — making Fridays full-go. Fans now know why the team has been so fast out of the gate during the first four games of the season.

Jen Smith of the Lexington Herald-Leader wrote a story about these “Fast Friday” practices and their effect on the field. She chatted with KSTV about it on tonight’s show.
